Braves of CEPS beat Tema Youth Club 67 – 48 on Saturday to win the 2015 Greater Accra Basketball Division One title. CEPS have thus completed another calendar year without losing a game locally.
With Romeo Enan back from the one game suspension he received from an altercation in an earlier game with Fire Service, CEPS were dominant from inside the paint as well as outside. Romeo and shooting guard Dodzie together scored 39 of CEPS’67 points. No other player scored more than 8 points.
Dodzie scored 4 out of 10 three point attempts and was 6 out of 7 from 2 point land and led all scores with 25 points. This was slightly below his performance in the previous game when he lit Fire Service up for 38 points including hitting 42% of his 19 three point attempts. Arguably, he had more touches in that game due to Romeo’s absence.
Romeo on his return chalked a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. It was a solid all round performance from CEPS against a shorthanded Tema Youth team who suited up only 7 players for the final.
